The US company Spike Aerospace, headquartered in Boston, MA, reported on its new innovation, the Spike S-512 Supersonic Jet, in a blog post at the beginning of the year. In the future, passengers will be able to travel from New York City to London in less than 4 hours, or from Las Vegas to Tokyo in just 8 hours.
However, the special feature of the Spike Aerospace Supersonic Jet S-512 is not only the average speed of Mach 1.6-1.8 (1060-1200 mph), which reduces the flight time by 50%, but above all the equipment of the interior cabins.
Micro cameras project the exterior view onto touchscreen displays
Instead of windows, the interior walls of the cabin are covered with thin touchscreen displays. Micro cameras are installed in the exterior of the jet, which project the view onto the cabin displays and thus provide a breathtaking panoramic view. Passengers are offered the option of dimming the touchscreens and displaying other camera images stored in the system. In addition to the actual exterior view, films, PowerPoint presentations or other views can also be played on the displays. The cockpit of the S-512 jet is still equipped with windows.
